DOME Building Automation and OT Network Cybersecurity Overview

The DOME cybersecurity platform stops cyber attacks before they can happen and provides device-level protection for building automation, smart buildings, operational technology (OT) networks, and industrial IoT. Based on a NIST-compliant zero trust framework, DOME makes it easy to retrofit cybersecurity to existing devices, and can be embedded into OEM devices and building controls.

Buildings are becoming smarter and more connected, with everything from HVAC and fire control systems, to smart lighting and elevators now being managed and monitored by the cloud and IT networks. This growing connectivity enables efficiencies, but it also means more exposure to cyber threats and attacks on a building’s systems. These attacks can disrupt a facility or even shut it down, creating safety risks and potential financial losses for its owner and occupants.

DOME from Veridify Security goes beyond the network monitoring and visibility solutions used today by delivering real-time protection, making a building cybersafe. It authenticates every device in the building and protects the data and commands running on your network, safeguarding your facility to the edge. DOME runs on most existing building management networks, and our simple retrofit approach can quickly protect a currently installed system, eliminating the need for the costly and time-consuming replacement of your existing building controls.

And our SaaS solution provides a security dashboard into your building’s daily operations, reporting unauthorized behavior while logging all activity. Make your building cyber safe with DOME, and give your tenants and assets real-time protection from the growing threat of a cyber attack.

The DIA is the local management and authentication device that is located on a building automation or industrial IoT network and connects to the cloud-based DOME server for reporting and credential management. The DIA connects locally to building controls that have the DOME Client software built in or to DOME Sentry devices that provide security for existing building controls. The DIA package includes the gateway pre-installed with DOME software, a power supply, an ethernet cable, and a quick start guide.

Important features of the gateway include a dual core Intel Celeron Processor, two gigabit Ethernet ports, 10 to 30 volts DC input voltage, and a small fanless enclosure that can be wall or DIN-rail mounted. The gateway is a tiny 3.9 x 2.8 x 1.2 inches in size, making it convenient to locate just about anywhere. The DIA is the single connection to the cloud for Veridify’s cyber security solution. This means that edge devices do not have to connect to the internet for authentication, it’s all managed locally by the DIA.
