Veridify’s IoT & OT Cybersecurity News and Resources
Commercial Building are Increasingly Vulnerable to Cyber Attacks. How Can Buildings be Made Cyber Safe?
Increasing network connectivity for building devices is escalating the risk of cyber attacks. A recent Cybersecurity report* indicated that 75% of organizations experienced three or more intrusions in the past year, and 61% impacted Operational Technology (OT) systems that run buildings today. The growing number of cyber attacks on buildings puts tenants and operations at risk, and these attacks are typically unreported. Protecting access with firewalls is useful but also susceptible to human-caused vulnerabilities. Monitoring for threats and cyber intrusions is also helpful but only provides alerts after a breach has been detected.
Veridify provides a unique approach to security with device-level protection for new and existing building automation and OT networks. For buildings, this means protecting the building automation network so that only authorized devices can communicate with each other. This month’s update has numerous resources to further explain the cyber threats for buildings and how Veridify’s solution, DOME, can provide cyber protection and stop cyber attacks before they happen.
* 2022 State of Operational Technology and Cybersecurity Report
Veridify has recently made available a ready-to-deploy cybersecurity kit for building automation and Operational Technology (OT) networks. These announcements highlight the product and partnerships making buildings cyber safe.
DOME provides device-level cybersecurity for building automation systems and OT networks. More than monitoring or perimeter protection, DOME stops cyber attacks before they can happen. We look forward to discussing your application and sharing a demo to explore how DOME can provide security against cyber attacks.
Buildings and OT systems are increasingly being targeted as a way to get access to IT systems or cause outages. Learn how building systems and industrial IoT networks can be locked down to stop cyber attacks.
