SecureRF Announces Corporate Name Change to Veridify Security to Reflect Growing Commitment to IoT Security

Shelton, CT – December 4, 2019 – SecureRF Corporation, a leader in securing low-resource devices at the edge of the IoT, announced today that it is changing its corporate name to Veridify Security Inc. The new identity reflects the company’s expanding role in securing the industrial IoT, automotive, smart building, device management and secure supply chain markets.

SecureRF was founded to solve the difficult task of securing very low-resource radio frequency (RF) devices and sensors. The company continues to address this sector, including BLE and NFC, but with the rapidly expanding market for a wide range of IoT devices now running on 32, 16, and even 8-bit processors, SecureRF has outgrown its original market focus and name.

“Our mission has always been to develop small, fast and energy-efficient security solutions for the smallest processing platforms in the market, which originally were RF-based. But as our markets have expanded along with the IoT, our founding name has become a confusing message to some of our newer customers,” said Louis Parks, chief executive officer and chairman of Veridify Security. “We see rebranding to Veridify as a natural, next step in the evolution of our company, and we are excited to continue our mission of providing the security tools and platforms for connecting and managing the widest range of low-resource processors in the IoT.”

Veridify Security will continue to develop and deliver its award-winning and ISO-certified quantum-resistant security for connected devices at the edge of the IoT.

The company will unveil its new branding in booth #210 at the RISC-V Summit, Dec. 10-12 in San Jose, California, where they will also showcase the simplicity and scalability of DOME™, the company’s new Device Ownership Management and Enrollment platform. DOME will be demonstrated in both the Veridify and Microchip booths, running on their SiFive partner’s HiFive1 and HiFive Unleashed boards.
